Sébastien OGIER puts in a big push to win the stage by 3.2s over Takamoto KATSUTA . Elfyn EVANS 6.5s slower than Sébastien OGIER and dropped to third overall 2.6s behind Katsuta. Sébastien OGIER leads the charge for Hyundai again.

“Not fully. It was a push but somehow it is not clicking well. I’m fully surprised [by Ogier’s pace]. It doesn’t seem the rhythm is fully efficient at the moment.”

“We did [attack]. The first pass was a bit on the safe side and we had a bit more of a push when we knew the notes were comfier, still struggling a bit with the balance. When you are pushing you need everything to be perfect we will still try to improve. It has been fun, the conditions were quite ok.

“Obviously when you don’t have the first pass you don’t know all the places so well. I think on the clean and dry and when I knew what was coming I was quite ok. I was quite careful in all the slippy and damp places. It doesn’t make a big difference for us.”

“For sure I tried but the same as the first pass I didn’t take a risk on this narrow section. I feel quite confident in my car and driving so I don’t need to take risks now. I can take risks later.”

“I was just really excited at the end to finish the really tricky part so I think I did a bit of overdriving at the end. It was maybe not the most efficient but I had some good fun. On the tricky part I really tried to optimise and carry the speed but I think we still lose a lot in there but it is ok. It is really demanding.”
