The FIA World Rally Championship FORUM8 Rally Japan 2024, which will be held from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th November 2024, will be using the TOYOTA MIRAI CLUB’s fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) to provide the electricity needed for the administration of some of the SSs and spectator areas, as part of its environmentally friendly initiatives.
Rally Japan was awarded three stars, the highest rank in the FIA (International Automobile Federation) Environmental Certification Programme (*), last year, and in this year’s event, in order to make the event even more environmentally friendly than last year, efforts will be made to achieve carbon neutrality in the administration of special stages (SS). In cooperation with the ‘TOYOTA MIRAI CLUB’, this is a new initiative that aims to create an environmentally friendly event by using the electricity generated by FCEVs owned by members to power some of the SS and spectator areas.
